Bug Description

Well, I can't expect that Inkscape can render anything
some fool called SVG. But it would nice if corel's
SVG's support in inkscape would become better, since
there are no other working way to get vector graphics
from Corel Draw into Inkscape without using another
non-free software.

I have attached an example to this issue.

This file is valid. The only problem with it is that it
relies on en external DTD to declare the XLink namespace,
which in my opinion is pretty stupid - basically it makes
the file not loadable without internet access! However,
again, it's valid and allowed by XML rules. We have a bug on
that:

It's low priority, but feel free to raise the issue on the
mailing list if you absolutely want this fixed.

For now. to fix this file, you just need to add to the
opening SVG tag:

xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"

and it will load OK.

Fascinating! It was just this one undefined namespace. But I
don't understand how Corel Draw itself can render the SVG
without have a link to all namespace definitions, unless
they would make a bad hack in their SVG-renderer?
