Bug Description

Svg document opens to Inkscape nice and shows up OK. When saving the file to pdf the resulting pdf is missing the image (or images as there are some svg files having lots of graphics).

From the forums where I already asked help for this:
"Select the image (background with pattern) with the node tool or with Select tool while pressing Ctrl. Do Object -> Pattern -> Pattern to Object.

This is just a workaround - it should be working right without doing this, too."

I have dozens of sample svg files that have this problem. The source is SanomaPro digi service and it 'seems' they are making these svg images with Adobe InDesign 2017. Or at least converting those images to pdf which again seem OK.

Inkscape version 0.92.2
Windows 10 Home x64

More sample files. The zip file contains both .svg and the converted .pdf files.

Changed in inkscape:
status: New → Confirmed
importance: Undecided → Medium
