Add Javascript to View/Scripts editor

Significant SVG design is being done with SVG and
Javascript. Many page designers are expert with
Javascript but may not know perl or python.

Instead of forcing them to learn a new programming
language my suggestion is to add Javascript
(EMACscript) as an option to the View>Scripts dialog.

Also, an example of a basic javascript extension
(windows can run stand-alone javascripts with the
windows scripting host) would allow desingers to take a
crack at adding features.
