SP_PROP_CLIP_PATH

Inkscape 0.44:

SVG compliance:

clip-path="url(#clipPath1234)" works fine

style="clip-path:url(#clipPath1234)" is ignored and
gives the error "SP_PROP_CLIP_PATH not implemented"

e.g.: the plotting library matplotlib uses this feature
extensively.

It should be simple to fix this detail.

the developers might want to upgrade this to a bug, not sure

a small sample file would probably be very useful for
testers and developers

See attached file as produced by matplotlib. librsvg renders
it correctly, inkscape ignores the clipping.
