I'm not familiar with Autocad, would need a more detailed
description to be able to answer your question.

The Inkscape roadmap will give a good idea of features
planned in the short term.

1. Horizontal and vertical autokerning for text(like a Corel Draw).
2. Snapping don't work when object rotate. Not snap on paths intersection.
3. How to expose object's width and height without taking stroke width?
4. User defined hotkeys.
5. Menus in full window on low resolution (1024x600 Asus EeePC) not working properly.
* More stability and perfomance. The Inkscape is very good and interesting program, but very often crash. 8-(

It doesn't make much sense posting to bug reports that are closed as invalid.

Now, regarding your concerns.

1. Possible. Please file a separate bug report on that, if none exists already.
2. Snapping on paths intersections is already present in SVN trunk.
3. I didn't understand that one.
4. Already available for ages.
5. Fixed in SVN trunk.
