Bug Description

Hello,

I was browsing my SVG graphics collection the other
day and I had to open some of the graphics in Inkscape
to zoom and look at small details (mainly icons). So I
thought that it would be great to have a couple of
basic functionality implemeted directly into Inkview,
to make the SVG clipart browsing experience greater.

Here is what I'd like to see in Inkview:
- zooming (no need to open Inkscape to take a look at
small details)
- scrolling (some kind of pan tool to scroll zoomed
SVGs)
- a metadata viewer/editor (very usefull when browsing
a clipart collection to edit metadata, may be usefull
when working with openclipart)
- thumbnail view: by opening a folder, Inkiew could
show the files located inside as thumbnails.

Thanks!

Also, a "previous / next" browsing functionality would be
very welcome :)

I like the idea of making Inkview have a basic toolbar and
even menus to make it a bit more like the Eye of Gnome (EOG)
image viewer.

When I mentioned it I was encourage to submit patches to
make it happen as no one has yet taken charge of inkview
development.

In future it would be quite useful to have a combined viewer
and player which could show basic animations seperate from
any editing.

Changed in inkscape:
importance: Medium → Wishlist
status: New → Confirmed
