Bug Description
As a long-time web-developer I stumbled upon Inkscape
and it looks very promosing to even create great
artistic website layouts (atm I just made kickass SVG
icons).
However I am missing a few small but rather important
features for it to catch on the serious web-dev/artist
userbase.
One of these is to have the ability to control the
level of anti-aliasing on text and especially to
disable it completly per-text(
One example:
http://
This is a very important feature in order to work on
website layouts:
- See non-antialiased text's alignment/flow in your
layout as it appears in a (Windows) browser
- Sometimes some text objects are required to have
antialiasing (Headlines in Images) and others not
- Designs using bitmap/pixel fonts are only possible
with antialiasing disabled (nobody needs blurred pixel
fonts)
Especially I can see some designers being hot to jump
on the Inkscape wagon having this feature which would
allow for some geeky stuff. ;)
I guess the following areas would have to be touched afaik:
- Text Tool Dialog
- Text Rendering
- Fileformat
- Image Export
- Printing

Checked out that website, it looks very sharp. Good work!
