Bug Description
I am currently producing ERDs (Entitly Relationship
Diagrams)for an Oracle course and thought that Inkscape
would be a useful tool, however I hit a limitation and
it may be one you would consider for inclusion.
The relationships (lines) between the entities (round
cornered boxes) have a meaning depending on whether
they are required (solid) or optional (dashed) but they
read both ways and each half of a line may be different
starting solid in one direction but finishing as dashed
after passing the half way mark.
This may prove a useful feature especially when using
connector lines since you can rearrange your diagram at
will and for ERDs this is invaluable.
There are also several line ends which merit inclusion
which are used in ERDs indication different things for
example the 'crows foot' which is one or both ends of a
one to 'many' or many to many relationship.
This may push Inkscape forward as a tool for producing
ERDs for database design work.
