Bug Description

I know that Inkscape is not a CAD program, but it would
be nice to have some CAD functionality. Often I would
like to precicely define an angle and length instead of
defineing endpoints in a path. Also, it would be nice to
be able to select two nodes and cut the path into two
parts stradling a line between the two points. Another
usful thing would be the ability to add dimentiions to
objects. The possibilities are endless.

Dimensioning would be helpful indeed for technical sketches.
A nice touch would be to define a multiplier and a dimension
to be drawn (size in drawing is 5mm - this is equivalent to
15m i.e. "scaling").
This is different to CAD programs, where you work on "real
dimensions" and just define the sacling for printing.
Dimensions should include length and angle.
A functionality as in CorelDraw 7.0 is sufficient (adding
the above mentioned scaling function).

That point should be unified with the request 1422314.

These features are too needed when drawing trademarks which have strict rules for its dimensions determined by the companies who own them.
I want to have the option to put straight and apline point coordinates with keyboard, into windows.

See the SVG I attached.
