optionally relink clones when changing id in obj properties

Bug Description

If the ID of clone (source) is changed, the rest of the
references will go disappear.

Of course. That is by design. However it may make sense to
add a "relink clones" checkbox for id changes, so I'm moving
this to RFEs.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Inkscape better. You reported this bug a long while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Inkscape release? Thanks in advance

buliabyak, since you just implemented something that would seem to relate to this I'm assigning it to you... note that it's not with any expectations, but seems like it could potentially be low hanging fruit for that reason.

Same problem here, I cloned a lot of objects, now I want to assign an ID to them separately, so that I can read them out with QT separately. Once I change the original's ID, every clone of it dissapears (or even moves).
This shouldn't be "by design", renaming shouldn't affect the layout!
