Language Selection Option / Menu Entry

[Bug Importer]

I think that the software should not just "guess" the user
language but should also give him an option to change
the configuration in case it's incorrect.
My installation was set as Portuguese but I want to be
able to talk about bugs and features, using the same
terms and names from the English version.

I second this poster, I like that it's user-friendly in guessing
the language, so I can recomend this freeware to non-power-
users... but you should be able to change it back to your
preference.

I agree, it would be nice to be able to choose the language in the config dialog.

This is a particular problem for Windows users, where there is no equivalent of the LANG variable, and most users don't know how to run the programs from the command line. This isn't a hard fix (just an extra item in Inkscape Preferences). The priority of this should be bumped up to at least Low.
