Drag and drop objects from other applications

Bug Description

It would be useful if users could import objects from
applications such as photoshop simply dragging and
dropping them into Inkscape,like in Freehand and M$
Publisher.

I would like to see this and suggest:

Whole files dropped should offer to either overwrite
existing data or open a new window.

Objects dragged from one Inkscape window to another should
be simply copied to the pointer position.

Objects/Files dragable and saveable to an open file manager
window.

Closing because INVALID: Fixed with caveats.

Inkscape does support drag-and-drop for the following formats listed at http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/File-Import.html.
