Bug Description

It would be nice to be able to change the default
origin to be the middle of the page rather than the
bottom left hand corner. For some drawings it is much
easier to to construct around a central 0,0 and it is a
pain to have to go to the document options and changing
the origin to 105mm,148.5mm. At the minimum, a
selector that allows you to pick a corner or the middle
and have the numbers entered automatically would be nice.

There could be a button to set it anywhere. It should have
object snap and also snap to the corners and the center of
the page.

Originator: NO

I agree, this can be very usefull. As a webdesigner, I prefer that the
origin is set to tp-left croner, so a customisable origin ruler like in
Illustrator would be great.

I usually use variable "0-points" in combination with guides to make my designs more acurate so my proposal is:

option to clickn'drag from the ruler's corner to define both (x an y) origins

make above "snap" as all other objects

also a dialog box interface as an option for the control freaks
