Find Dialog for Shapes/Paths would be great

Inkscape 0.37 is already a great Tool, thanks.

But most Applications that deal with large amounts of
displayed objects or nodes need some find functionality:

Wouldn't it be great to find and activate Shapes/Paths
via find by id or other properties ?

Example Dialog:

=======================================
Find Tool:

find by [x] ID [x] regex search [O] property
PULLDOWN
Which [ "great_circle*" ]

            [ Cancel ] [ Find it ]

---------------------------------------------------

After clicking "Find it", all shapes/paths which id
starts with "great_circle" are activated.

COOL, huh. And should not be too hard to implement.
