Bug Description
In Inkscape (version Inkscape 0.92.1 r from arch linux distro repo and also in inkscape built from source) there are holes and gaps when rendering devanagari script. The diacritics and the top horizontal line don't merge together and the top horizontal line should be merged rather than breaking after characters.
I have included a screenshot of same word (dmitry) written with same font in inkscape and libreoffice for your reference.
Let me know if you want any more details
I am using arch linux,
I have inkscape built from source and I can also reproduce this with inkscape .92 from repo.
thank you

just a guess:
This looks like fill-rule:evenodd.
may you check the filling and set it to "fill-rule: nonzero; "
