Bug Description

When using latest inkscape autopackage on ubuntu Feisty I get this error:

inkscape: error while loading shared libraries: libMagick++.so.9: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory

Never got this error message with past inkscape autopackages.

Thanks

Well I downloaded the latest inkscape200711070317.package and still get
the same error. Why is it asking for this library object now? Last
development packages were running just fine!

I got this and just symlinked ("ln -s") to the libMagick++.so.10 (IIRC)
file that I had.

Ok, in my case I fixed it by installing the libMagick++.so.9 library, I
thought it was using the standard libMagick, my mistake :(
But now I have similar problem as oher users, there are no icons in
inkscape.

Ok, it works, thanks for that, I didn't see them included at the top of the autopackage development list.

I only had to do symlinks in the following way:

libpoppler.so.1.0.0 >>> libpoppler.so.2
libpoppler-glib.so.1.0.0 >>> libpoppler-glib.so.2

Working like a charm.
Thx!

I`ve installed inkscape20080107rev16975AOCV.package on Feisty and it wasn`t working with the same error.
It started working only after i did assigns to the older libs. So I assume bug wasn`t fixed. There`s no libpoppler2 in Feisty repo.

You have to do the symlinks I mentioned above. It will work well.

It has been nearly ten years, is this still an issue?
