Drop Shadow Blurs Edge of Rectangle

Inkscape 0.92.1; Windows 7 (64-Bit)

Hi guys,
the behavior of the "drop shadow" feature changed from 0.91 to 0.92.1.
See attachment. I have a white filled rectangle with a black outline and want to do a drop shadow (Filter ==> Shadows ==> Drop Shadow).
In 0.91, it creates a drop shadow as expected (similar to the bottom right rectangle; the red color is intended / can be changed to what is preferred).

However, in 0.92, it also blurs the edge of the rectangle, which it does not do in 0.91 (top right rectangle).
