When trying to Save As GIMP .XCF

Basically, I simply open inkscape, draw a random shape, and then try to
Save As as XCF, but get the following:

I have a similar problem:

I have a design, which I want to export of Gimp (.xcf), keeping the
layers.

I get a xcf file with 0 (zero) bytes, and the following error:

It looks like you're missing perl libraries Gimp.pm. Try to install it, and it should work.
By the way, what OS are you using?
