Wacom Graphire 4 + Windows XP

[Bug Importer]

My Wacom Graphire 4 tablet does not work in Inkscape. The pointer simply
freezes until I close the program. GIMP also has problems with the tablet
(although less severe), so I think this is a problem with GTK.

version: 0.45.1
OS: Windows XP, SP 2

I have problems with Inkscape when my Wacom drivers are installed on XP as
well. There are intermittent (about every 20 seconds for 3 seconds) pointer
hesitations and the tracking is off. If I click on the canvas, the result
appears above and to the right of the pointer position.

Same problem: intermittent point hiccups and freezes, then back to normal
for a couple of seconds. Same tablet: Wacom Graphire 4 on WinXP. No problem
in other programs. If I can help, please dont hesitate to contacte me. It
just might be due to oddly installed drivers, but since I dont have any
problems in any other program (normal Windows Explorer, Adobe Flash CS3,
FireFox, etc).

I have been having the same problems. What I have found is that when I
lift the pen from the tablet it unfreezes much faster than when I keep the
pen near the tablet. I have a mouse plugged in at the same time, and if I
try to move the mouse it moves the cursor like normal. I have not had the
same problem in any other application or in Windows.

I'm using Windows XP SP2 and have a Graphire 4 with current drivers, and
version Inkscape 0.45.1.

I am having what sounds like a similar problem...

Vista (Home ultimate, or whatever theyre calling it these days)
Wacom Graphire 4

If the stylus moves out of range of the tablet (ie. too high) the mouse
pointer freezes.
The frozen pointer may be recovered by:
* Using the mouse
* Moving the stylus in at a low level from the edge of the tablet

This is also and issue with the latest version of GIMP (version 2.4.1)...
