linked line with different color or clone above high contrast background

This is a feature-request to get high color background on paths with markers for annotating high contrast pictures. The attached pictures should illustrate whats needed and whats already possible.

A linked offset is applicable because it does an 'offset' on the area not the path. Clones do not allow markers (https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1686030) and a LPE- solution using 'Clone original path' is not intuitive to use and does not allow to simply duplicate and change the original path together with its background.

A related discussion was already carried out on http://www.inkscapeforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=32281 but the solution is a bit to cumbersome and not applicable for new users.
