Bug Description

I have systems running suse 10.0 and opensuse 10.2 with inkscape 0.42.2 and
0.44.1, respectively. In the latter a problem that doesn't occur in the
former was introduced. I'm not sure if this is an inkscape or a suse bug.

When saving something as ps or eps, inkscape 0.42.2 produced font commands
like "/NimbusSanL-Bold-ISOLatin1 findfont". However, inkscape 0.44.1 now
produces command "/(NimbusSanL-Bold-ISOLatin1) findfont", i.e. it adds
brackets around the font name. Because of those brackets, my system doesn't
find the right font and the resulting ps/eps image looks awful. The problem
can be fixed by manually removing the brackets in the text file.

If this is a suse bug, please notify me and I'll place over there. Thanks!

The brackets have been introduced to enable postscript to find fontnames
containing spaces like "Times New Roman". This might be mainly used on
windows. But your postscript font system should just ignore the brackets. I
would think, that this is not a bug in the postscript coding of inkscape,
but maybe in suse.

As of SVN revision 16423 (Ubuntu 7.10) it looks this way:

/NimbusSanL-Bold-ISOLatin1 /NimbusSanL-Bold newlatin1font
