Bug Description

0.92.1 r15371
Windows 7

I just downloaded the lasted inkscape and now when I clip an item (usually an "image") my clip path jumps high off the page up on the screen and the size of the object changes. I was using V 91 and the clip object always stayed in place and remained the same size which is what I prefer. I often reuse my clip object so it is a lot of work to find it and resize it all the time. Very hard also when the object is white to find it.

I have my preferences set Not to remove clipath and Not to group clipped objects and at first I thought they were being removed. Only when I used to zoom to page size did I realized that clip paths (and often flowed text characters) are scattered all around the screen but outside the page margins. I have to lasso the empty space so I can catch them to move or delete.

I have found some similar bugs but I am not quite sure if they are the same or not as some of them are old.

Thanks again for looking in to this as well, I attached a file where I just
clipped an item and this happened. In fact it happens on every clip I've
done so far. On this file I clipped my background group to fit my page
size. My process was as follows

1) Center align grouped object (background) on page
2) Create rectangle object, size 1.875 x 2.5", to use a clip object,
center align rectangle above grouped item
3) Select rectangle and grouped object and set clip.
4) Clip is fine but now the rectangle pops high to the top of the screen
and the size changes to 2" x 2.667".

This never used to happen before in earlier versions and I don't like it
because I often like to use the same object for several clippings or use it
as a background in the final design. Thanks again for your time!
