Bug Description

In 3D modeling software, there is a feature called loft, and what loft does is to generate a surface from one edge to another. Right now, the gradient mesh feature is severely lacking in Inkscape, and I would like to see that resolved starting with a quick way to generate user-made shape. The loft concept can also be extended to Interpolate extension.

Attached is the Loft to Gradient Mesh which merely is a concept of how loft to gradient mesh should work. You can see the wires, and how they flow. It's not perfect since it's human-made, but the idea is there.

The point of the feature is to enable users to quickly generate 2D rendering and reduce the needs for blurring as gradient mesh+tweak object enables the potential of generating realistic results. It also enables gradient stroke.

Semi-related additional comment: Coloring of the point of the top lofted result has to be done manually. One should really be able to select series of node based upon the line flow. That'll enable easy cone shading. Also, gradient meshes editing tool should be able to make tangent lines tangent to another line just like as if you were working with a path.

In addition to the loft tool, it would be nice for the loft tool to generate how much rows/column should be generated. The more rows and column generated, the better it will fit the curves.
