Bug Description

when opening the document properties menu, it opens offscreen. This is a problem as there is no way of getting this menu back onto the screen rendering it unusable. This seems to stem from the fact that I use a two monitor set up. To try and rectify this I usually have to unplug my second monitor and then drag the menu into a maybe suitable position and then replug my monitor. This sometimes does not work and therefore I just do everything that i need on that one screen.

I also have this problem, or similar - the document properties window opens in different locations on screen each time I open it. Sometimes the whole windows is visible, sometimes half way outside screen on the right side, sometimes almost fully outside screen on theright side.

But I can always move the window inside the screen so all information will be visible. But it's extremely irritating to have to do that it each time I open it, and sometimes that is very often...

Windows 10.

I've been having the same issue myself with the newest version of Inkscape. It's very annoying. 99% of the time when I first open it on a file, it will be about ~95% off the screen leaving barely a little bit to drag back (& no, I only have a single monitor). So, you can see how bad this could be if it randomly decided to completely open off my screen & I didn't have any part that could be dragged back.

Same for me, Windows 7.

I know there's already another report for this, but I don't know how to make this a duplicate (or if I'm even allowed to).

I didn't want to raise a duplicate but this is still the case. Windows 10 (on 2 machines). There is advice on this issue stretching back 2 years but I only just thought maybe there is a ticket for it and this is the closest one.

The child menu for document properties after a while or perhaps depending on where you closed it last will start to open further and further to the right of screen until you are no longer able to see it and drag it back to the centre. The copy of Inkscape I use on my laptop connected to my laser I cant use anymore because without going into the registery and wiping all the inkscape settings to start over and I just got to this point with my main desktop. Im going to try installing a new point version of inkscape first but otherwise ill have to go through registery/files to wipe out all traces and start over with my settings.
