Bug Description

* Windows 7 / 64 bits / Inkscape 0.91

Today when opening one of my .svg files I have encountered the following problem: when I draw a star or spiral with CRTL pressed I get the following message from Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library: «This application has requested the Runtime to finish it in an unusual way . Please contact the application's support team for more information. To which Inkscape responds: "Inkscape has encountered an internal error and will close".

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Regards, and thank you very much.

Which version if Inkscape are you using?

With the new version 0.92.1, when I opening my files skip a window with the following message of Inkscape «The old files of Inkscape use 1inch = 90 px. CSS requires 1inch = = 96px. Drawings that are made to correspond with a physical size (eg A4, or Letter) will be too small. It can be corrected by scaling the elements. Internal scaling can be managed by adjusting the 'viewBox' attribute of SVG to compensate for or scaling all the objects in the drawing. And the options that Inkscape gives me are "Set 'viewBox'", "Climb elements" or "Ignore" with the optional box "Create copy file (in the same directory)".

yes, you will see that message when you load files from earlier versions. I am not very familiar with the options in that dialog. You could probably get more help by asking a question on the developer or user mailing lists:

I believe choosing ignore will leave the file unchanged. What I would recommend is to first make a backup file of any old format files you may have. Normally choosing 'set viewbox' and agreeing to the dpi rescale should work, but keep a backup file just in case you do not like the result.
