There are several Inkscape icons that are completely or
partially black. When using a black GTK+ theme, these
icons are difficult or impossible to identify and
usability is hampered. I propose that the affected
icons should be tweaked to include a white outline or
some other device to eliminate the monochrome bits. I
have included a screenshot with this bug report to
illustrate the problem. Below is a list of icons that I
know to be affected by this bug however there may be
others as well:
-Create spirals
-Draw freehand lines
-Draw Bezier curves and straight lines
-Draw calligraphic lines
-Create and edit text objects
-Create connectors
-Create and edit gradients
-Pick averaged colors from image
-Text and font dialog
-XML editor
-Align and Distribute dialog
-Lock or unlock current layer
-Change both width and height by the same proportion
-Create gradient in the fill
-Create gradient in the stroke
-Zoom drawing if window size changes
-When scaling objects, scale the stroke width by the
same proportion
-Transform patterns (in fill or stroke) along with the
objects
Is this still an issue? I know, that the icons were replaced. Can someone test, if this bug still applys? Swich the gtk window theme to black and see, if you are still able to see all icons.
