I have assigned description and programs+OS information to reproduce a bug I have been having in the formal formatted .svg file and in a .png file attached into the .zip file. It was made with the latest Inkscape available which is Inkscape pre5 r15287 and Windows 10 x64.

Expected Fuse Path results - To reproduce :
1) After you follow instruction for the above shape, you convert the object into path
2) You Break Apart
3) You apply union
4) Viola! You get the expected Fuse Path results

Each parts applies to every form of path available in Inkscape, and they all differ. Results with Fuse path leads to broken lines, and zero nodes. The available workaround is found in Part 3.
