Bug Description
Set a semi-transparent background with the checkerboard pattern.
Around 2400%-2800% zoom level the checker vanishes and ghosting issue appears.
(also as in bug 1644607)
-Not sure about the level, gives different results if there is a background colour above the checkerboard.-
There seems to be an "edge" zoom level each case producing ghosting.
If you zoom in more, at 12800% zoom level vertical and diagonal guide lines disappear, and at 25600% the horizontal ones disappear too.
Varies by document background setups and what not, but the issue is quite common.
Tested on win 10 64bit Inkscape 0.92pre3 15195.
