Bug Description
Replicate
1. Stop Inkscape
2. Install Font: Linux Biolinum Keyboard O (http://
3. Start Inkscape
4. Open Text and Fonts (Shift+Ctrl+T)
Expected Results
The Text and Fonts panel does not take up half the drawing area. This could be done using:
a) A horizontal slider; or
b) A small, separate preview panel that is independent from the Font family listing panel.
Having a preview window that can be closed, or only set to render fonts that are (1) used in the drawing; or (2) selected in the "Font family" listing panel.
Actual Results
The Text and Fonts panel takes up a significant portion of the screen real estate and there is no way to minimize it. See attached. Additionally, closing the "Text and Font" panel retains the width, which forces the user to manually resize the docked panel.
Shows the size of the docked panel after closing the super-wide Text and Font pane.
