Crash using any Extensions (Win32)

I know nothing about code or cross platform comparisons, but I'm using version 0.91 on windows 32bit.
The program runs great and does what I want it to, until I try and use any of the provided extensions.
Inititally I was trying to use the modify path>perspective extension, using a 4 node path shape selected first and second path design to perspective warp. A small dialogue box comes up saying perspective working and in the same split second an error box comes up.
headed "Microsoft C++ Runtime error"

"This application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusal way
please contact the applications support team for more information"

it saves the document into a dated file and then crashes.

Ive tried it with most of the other extensions, each resulting in this same crash. HELP please

- could you try running Inkscape from a DOS prompt to see if there are any error messages in the DOS output?
- could you also confirm the Inkscape rev number using the following command?

C:\Program Files\Inkscape>inkscape -V
Inkscape 0.91 r13725 (Jan 30 2015)
