Inkscape enter infinite sleep mode

I'm using the latest trunk version of Inkscape (Inkscape 0.92pre1 unknown (Jul 10 2016)), but this bug/problem equally occur with 0.91 stable version in Ubuntu 16.04 repository.

I'm using Ubuntu 16.04: Linux Dunwich 4.4.0-28-generic #47-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jun 24 10:09:13 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

What it happens :

- Inkscape run and windows appears normally, but i cannot clic anywhere.
After few seconds, inkscape freeze.

- When i try to kill inkscape instance using -9, it's impossible, the process go to D+ mode ...

- Removing ./config/inkscape change nothing

I try to run gdb inkscape, then run, then bt when the program freeze, it display nothing :(

I have noticed that this infinite sleep occurs for me when my computer is not connected to any network. As soon as I connect it to the internet, inkscape runs again.

Could you check wether clearing/renaming the list of recently used files avoids the issue?

Default location:
~/.local/share/recently-used.xbel

A potential cause could be Inkscape trying to access a path that is not available / it does not have access to (e.g. a network path as indicated by comment #2).

I did have the identical issue in Ubuntu 17.10.
I can confirm that clearing the list of recently used files as per comment #3 solves this issue for me.
