Bug Description

The link given in the Jessyink extensions (for more info) points to
code.google.com/p/jessyink, which gives a 404 error.

This repo here at least still exists:
https://code.launchpad.net/jessyink, but doesn't appear to be very actively maintained.

I suggest to either remove the link, or to link to some page where more info can be found about the extension.

The mentioned link 'code.google.com/p/jessyink' opens ok for me in Firefox and Chromium - AFAICT it forwards to:
https://code.google.com/archive/p/jessyink/

The same link is also used for the Homepage link of the JessyInk project at launchpad:
https://launchpad.net/jessyink --> http://code.google.com/p/jessyink/
(and works for me there too)

Do you know plans of Google to drop the archived code projects?

Interesting. I had copy-pasted the link, and got a 404 twice yesterday.

Ah, I now see that's related to noscript. If parts of the page are blocked, the redirect doesn't work. Thank you for checking, suv.

Is jessyink officially unmaintained (i.e. is the Inkscape project now its maintainer?) If so, it might make sense to have the archived usage info somewhere where we can edit it.

JessyInk author and maintainer Hannes Hochreiner is also a member of the Inkscape developer team at launchpad.

@Hannes, any comments wrt Hachmann's proposal?

I am all for the suggestion to move the documentation somewhere where a broader audience an edit it.

@Hachmann: Where do you suggest to move the information?

For the time being, maybe the Wiki could be a good place?
If we ever get an open manual, then it could be incorporated there.
