Bug Description
Currently Inkscape allows to select font aliases (like "sans") as fonts. I've been bitten by that after upgrading the Linux OS when the alias for "sans" changed to a different font, and all my careful text layout was ruined!
Therefore I suggest not to allow selecting fonts by aliases. Also do not store the name of an alias in the SVG, but store the resolved name in the SVG. If a font cannot be found, don't silently replace the font by something else, but give the user a possibility to select a replacement font.
The font selector should clearly indicate what a font alias is. For tons of fonts some logical grouping of fonts would be nice also!
