SVG XML Attribute visibility:hidden

Bug Description

the visibility tag is not properly evaluated.

style = visibility:hidden does not hide the element.

Thanks for taking the time to file a report!

Apparently a known issue already reported in bug #166042 "visible child in hidden parent", and thus I'm going to mark your report duplicate. Don't hesitate to comment here and revert that status if you think it's a different issue.

Its related but not the same. I just request the parent to be hidden. bug #166042 Request the Child of a Hidden parent to be shown. But hte parent doesn't get hidden in my case. which is a basic functionality. Bug #886246 states that Inkscape use "display: none" and doesnt use "visibility: hidden". so it has to be a simple parsing of the attribute style tag visibility and set the right display mode.
