Bug Description
Let's say I want to create the path shown in the attached image, starting with A, ending with F. After drawing A B and C, I'd like to snap D (and, subsequently, E and F) to the path itself. I tried two solutions, both way do not work properly.
The simple one: just continue drawing, and let inkscape snap the cursor to the same path. NOT WORKING (probably because the path is not created, unless I push Enter)
The complex one: after drawing A B and C, push Enter. Then continue drawing from C (now the first three vertices are real). NOT WORKING (probably because active object is excluded from the ones the Snap tools tries to snap to)
This bug is meant as a Bug report, in case you think this functionality is already available. Or, as a Wishlist item, if you haven't figured out this functionality, yet.
Using Ubuntu 15.10 with Inkscape 0.48.4
Thanks for taking the time to file a report!
Marking it feature request (nothing in the official documentation about it, so I guess that's not something expected to work with 0.48 or 0.91).
