en_US selected but interface a Chinese/en mix

(OS language was originally Chinese, but changed to English well before installing inkscape)

Inkscape menu headings are all Chinese, but subitems not all. Eg File menu all Chinese except "Templates...", "Export PNG mage...", "Import Clip Art...", and "Clean up document"

Language selected in Preferences is en_US, and the only alternatives listed are English, despite choosing all translations when installing.

I've tried installing the 32 bit version, and choosing only one translation when installing. No joy.

I just tried installing version 48.5 instead. It is fully in Chinese, with no English mixed up in the menus, even though I chose English when installing, and in preferences en_US is selected. Again, there are no language options apart from English available, though I chose to install them all. Chinese is not listed.

The mix of US/Chinese is not a bug itself, but due to the fact that the Chinese translation is not complete in 0.91.
As a workaround, you can rename the "locale" folder in your Inkscape installation. When Inkscape can't find any translation file, it automatically uses the default strings (en_US).

Could you confirm there's nothing else listed in the Edit>Preferences dialog (interface section)? It would be weird because the list is not directly linked to the one used by the installer.
