Inkscape crashes on changing text font

I have had a problem when working with a text box. I select some text in
it in order to change the font. On clicking on the font selector, an
alert box appears with the title "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library".
The notice is "Assertion failed".

The program then shuts down.

This behaviour is intermittent. I have not spotted anything that provokes it.

I am using Inkscape 0.91 r13725 - the binary installation on Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit.

Your issue is a duplicate of Bug #1122374 "Inkscape trunk crashes while working with text tool (win32)". It's not fixed yet, but there are possibilities a recent dependencies update (including the Cairo libraries) could improve the situation (hopefully in 0.91.1).
