Bug Description
Cannot Copy/Paste anything within a document in Ubuntu 14.04 with MATE. Behaviour was detected in 0.48 but persist in 0.91.
Buttons are not greyed out, so I guess inkscape thinks it is available.
Copied items cannot be pasted in other applications, so I assume it is a problem in the communication with the clipboard.
A workaround is to use Duplicate (Ctrl+D), which works... but this cannot be done between two open documents.

No communication with clipboard in Windows (10).
Better explained:
Cannot paste paths (copied into Inkscape 1.0 and 1.0.1) in other applications like Xara or Illustrator.
This task works till Inkscape 0.92.5 (2060ec1f9f, 2020-04-08), I specify that this operation mantains the vectors.
A workaround is to paste and copy again into Inkscape 0.92.5 or older, then paste it in desired software document.
Please note: clipboard software Ditto doesn't recognize this type of copy and paste task, even when it works.
