Bug Description

When using Microsoft Lync or Microsoft Skype Business Edition (Skype for Business 2015, Microsoft Lync 2013 (15.0.4771.1001) MSO (15.0.4771.1001) 32-bit Microsoft Office) on Windows 7 , when sharing screens it's not possible to drag and drop symbols from the symbol library into a new drawing.

This has been consistent behaviour in Inkscape 0.91 across several computers (3 x tested). And across earlier versions of Microsoft Lync.

We often Skype or Lync each other to discuss situations and like to be able to sketch a situation using symbol libraries we have created.

When you drag the symbol, the gray outline shows up but the symbol can't be released onto the canvas.

Happy to provide further information or a video if this would help or the situation cannot be replicated.

Specifically what happens, is when the left mouse-button is released after dropping the symbol it can be seen returning to the symbol palette.

Thanks for taking the time to file a report!

Could you please give details on you Inkscape version (32 or 64-bit) and installer type (msi, exe or 7z)?

Thanks for looking into this.

I use Inkscape, 64-bit, Inkscape 0.91 r13725.

I have used the msi installer.

The same behaviour occurs for the PortableApp version.

I have just download the .7z file from www.inkscape.org and find the same problem with this also.

I tried to record a video using CamStudio but the same problem occurred as with Skype - no possibility to drop symbols when recording the screen.

With Skype I just can't release the symbol.

In the attached screenshot I have put a single symbol onto the canvas then Skyped a colleague and presented my desktop. While my desktop is presented I cannot release the symbol. The word balloon surrounded in light blue is the symbol I cannot release. When I release the left-click of my mouse button I see the symbol return to the palette.

Just to confirm that this remains a problem on Inkscape 0.92, Windows 10 Enterprise and Skype for Business 2016 (16.0.6925.1049) 32-bit.
