Bug Description
Hi,
$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS
Release: 14.04
$ dpkg -s inkscape | grep Version
Version: 0.91.0+
Designer that created for us logo uses Adobe Illustrator 19.2.0 and first we had been asking him to send results in SVG. And all was fine until i decided to use the final result for making new SVG file. As i said, all was fine and Inscape opened SVG successfully. But when i resaved that file something bad happened. All other application, except Inkscape could not open resaved SVG file with error:
Error domain 1 code 9 on line 64 column 21 of file://
Bytes: 0xFF 0x22 0x20 0x69
Line 64:
id=
Note. I have changed path to the file in the warning message.
And here is my problem because i don't want to save and work with potentially broken file that only Inkscape can open.
I have resolved the problem when exported the file from original AI file by Inkscape itself.
I have attached a zip archive "bugreport.zip" with three files:
1.ValDocumentOr
2.ValIconResave
3.ValIconResave
Thanks for taking the time to file a report!
The issue has already been reported before (and unfortunately not fixed yet) in Bug #499257 "saves svg file, that it can't read afterwards". Don't hesitate to comment if you think it's a different issue.
