Bug Description

When working with a file that contains multiple linked images, I've had Inkscape crash a number of times due to different issues.

System info.:
Inkscape 0.91 (bug also noted on previous versions)
64bit installer
Win7 OS

1) The linked images (usually .tif or .jpg format) were moved to another folder causing the link path to point to the wrong location. Inkscape will be able to open the file on the PC that was last used to edit it (the images show up with the red "x" indicating the link is broken). However, the file cannot be opened on another PC until the links are all fixed.

2) Using linked images of two different formats (ex.: .tif and .jpg) in the same document causes the program to crash. Inserting the the second format as a linked image will usually crash the program immediately. This doesn't happen 100% of the time, but it is fairly frequent. In the cases where there is no immediate crash, the document will often not open on other systems. I've noticed this happening when using both absolute and relative link paths.

Please add information about OS/platform and Inkscape version to the bug description, thank you.

If you use Inkscape 0.91 on Windows, please also include details about the installer package used for Inkscape: 32bit or 64bit?

Please also note that we cannot track multiple items in a single report.

Done.

The two items seem to be related. Should I make two separate reports?

Unlikley related - the crash is AFAICT a duplicate of
* Bug #1467103 “Crash due to re-registering GdkPixbufGdipAnim during BMP read”
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1467103
(see also other duplicate reports of bug #1467103 - based on what we know at the moment the most likely trigger is a mix of certain image file formats opened in the current session).

I didn't look at the second issue reported here in details (absolute versus relative paths) - only the one mentioned in the bug summary. Please do search for existing reports before filing new ones, thank you.
