Paste into word - cloned object has incorrect position

Bug Description

I created a diagram in Inkscape 0.91. This diagram had a cloned object which was cloned 10-20 times. I selected objects in Inkscape, pressed ^C, went to MS word 2010, pasted with ^v, and all the clones were in the wrong position - shifted vertically. Everything else looked ok.

Unlinked all the clones, tried again, then it pasted without a problem.

Note - this also happened in version 0.48.

Please add information about OS/platform to the bug description, thank you. If on Windows, also include details about the installer used for Inkscape 0.91 (32bit or 64bit).

Could you attach a test case (Inkscape SVG) which consistently reproduces the reported issue on your system to the bug report to ease further investigation on different systems with different inkscape builds?

Does it affect pasting in other applications too?

Changed in inkscape:
status: New → Incomplete
tags: added: clipboard clones

Running Win7 64bit.

Inkscape 0.48 was 32-bit, but version 0.91 was 64 bit.

Used the MSI installer.

Test case attached. Includes screenshot of problem in MS Word.

Seems to do the same thing in PowerPoint, MS Paint, LibreOffice Writer, etc.

The bug of displaced clones also reproduces when pasting into a new Inkscape document (independent of OS).

On OS X 10.7.5, pasting marked content of test case into new Inkscape document
- reproduced with Inkscape 0.91 r13725
- not reproduced with Inkscape 0.91+devel r14384

Can anyone test on Windows with current trunk builds?

Based on tests with archived trunk builds on OS X, the case when pasting between Inkscape windows

1) launch trunk with test case attached to this report
2) copy the options within the green frame (Ctrl+C)
3) open new document (Ctrl+N)
4) paste in place (Alt+Ctrl+V)

was fixed in r13932 for bug #1152657 (not ok with 13939, ok with 13932).

Personally, I cannot verify whether the same issue is triggered when pasting an SVG snippet (copied in Inskcape) from the clipboard into native applications on Windows (could well be an issue with exporting clipboard content to EMF or WMF, I don't know).
