Bug Description

Consider the attached SVG file. The object consisting of the arrow is 14 px high.

1. Export the image as PDF. The arrow will not be in the PDF.
2. Select all, check the "keep proportions" checkbox, and increase the height from 14 px to 15 px.
3. Export the image as PDF. This time the arrow is in the PDF.

Same occurs when printing to PDF file.

The issue does not seem to exist with export to PS or EPS.

Tested with inkscape 0.91-5 under Debian Sid and inkscape-0.91-2.fc20 under Fedora 20.

NB : The original picture is not mine. I believe it has been made using Corel Draw.

AFAICT likely related to upstream bug in cairo (doesn't export paths with very thin stroke-width to PDF).

Tracked for Inkscape in
* Bug #1174909 “inkscape fails to print thin lines to PDF”
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1174909

The path exports as expected e.g. after these steps:
1) open the SVG file in Inkscape 0.91 or current trunk
2) remove the stroke of the path which is missing in exported PDFs
   (computed stroke width: 0.064 px)
3) export again to PDF.

Proposing to link as duplicate to bug #1174909

Another indication that this is about the cairo bug tracked in bug #1174909:
- not reproduced with Inkscape 0.91+devel r14267, cairo 1.12.2
- reproduced with Inkscape 0.91+devel r14267, cairo 1.12.14, cairo 1.14.2 and
  cairo git master (66bc7b8cb0e753006fa838a8badcf5cb7528d6f7)

(all tests done with local builds on OS X 10.7.5)

Indeed it works when the contour is removed.
