Bug Description

The window for editing inkscape options has no closing button (the cross at the right buttom of the window), thus I have to right click on the window and click on close.
I'm not sure of the name of this window in english, in french is « preferences » and it's obtained by Ctrl+Maj+P.

Please add information about OS/platform and Inkscape version to the bug description, thank you. If you use Inkscape on Linux, information about installed distro, desktop and window manager would be helpful, too.

The Preferences dialog is closed by using the 'Close' feature provided by the window manager in the window decoration. With default settings, it does not have its own duplicate version of such a button. Whether or not the window decoration provides such a feature as button, or only in the context menu of the window header bar is outside of Inkscape, managed by the desktop and window manager configuration as far as I understand.

If you feel more comfortable using a (duplicate) close button inside the dialog, you can change that as global preference setting in
Preferences > Interface > Windows > Miscellaneous: [x] Show close button on dialogs

I reopen this issue as I can reproduce this.

I'm using 0.92.1 r15371 on Debian Jessie (8.10).

What I can tell from my observations is that the Preferences dialog window must be a somewhat special window compared to the other dialogs. I mean if I undock e.g. the "Fills and Stroke" window from the right docking area, I get a window with proper window controls (Minimize, Maximize, Close buttons), but the Preferences window does not have any of these.
Moreover my desktop environment (Gnome3) gives the Preferences window a transparency when not in foreground while the "Fills and Stroke" does not get any such fancy treatment so there must be some trick included when the window gets displayed.

If any more information is needed please feel free to ask.

I am having the same problem on Ubuntu Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS with I3 window manager. To make things worse there is no way to close the Preferences window at all. There is no popup menu on right click on window bar with i3! Inkscape 0.92.
