Bug Description

Hi
I am using Inkscape 0.91 for exporting SVG -> PDF (Windows 8.1). The SVG is generated in the browser where to set the Text style: style="text-decoration: underline;". When I open this svg in Inkscape the text is correctly underlined. But when i export it to PDF it dissapears. This feature is very important for me and I'm willing to pay for it. Can you help me please?

Reproduced with Inkscape 0.91 r13725 and 0.91+devel r14212, cairo 1.14.2, on OS X 10.7.5: exporting text decoration (bug #172133, bug #1269206) to PDF is not yet supported.

Changed in inkscape:
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
status: New → Confirmed

Does anyone know where to modify in inkscape source code for this to work?
I really need to get this one going right away

Is there any progress on this? export of any 'text-decoration' (i.e. underline, overline, strikthrough, etc) fails for export to pdf, eps, emf and tex.

the patches from bug #172133 seem to have made it into the release correctly showing 'text-decoration's but nothing has been done to keep those when exporting?

@Simon Rommel: there's a prerelease source package available (and if you're on Ubuntu >= 16.04, there's a --candidate (channel) snap package available of pre5, too):
https://inkscape.org/download/development-versions/ (snap not listed)

Could you try it out and report back?

Final release will also be available soon.

Bug still exists in Inkscape 0.92.3 (3ce5693, 2018-03-11)
`inkscape --export-pdf ...` gives pdf-file without underlines. That`s very bad, guys.

The bug still exists but I think I found a work around - if bitmap is used instead of vector (which is the default option) the pdf will have the text underlined.
