Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:

1) Create a box, set fill to undefined.
2) Clone the box
3) Select the clone, apply a pattern
4) Activate the node tool.

Expected result:

You should see the transformation handles for the pattern you've applied

Actual result:

No transformation handles are displayed.

I guess that this is because the paths of the clones are not independently editable, so they don't respond to the node tool at all; but unfortunately the node tool is also involved in editing the rotation/scale/position of patterns, which *are* independently editable for clones. I've attached a file that shows a base object plus a clone and a duplicate with patterns. The clone pattern can't be edited but the duplicate can.

Behaviour in inkscape 0.91

I've just realised that there's a trivial workaround - select the clone and then activate the square tool and the pattern handles will be displayed. It's a bit counter-intuitive for paths where the default editing tool is the node tool, but I guess it makes it pretty trivial if it's even still a bug.
