Same text is rendered in 0.91 and in 0.48 in different way

Bug Description

Hello,

Windows 8, Inkscape 0.91 and 0.48

I have svg file created in Inkscape 0.48 with some text. Now I open this file in Inkscape 0.91 and the same text now takes more horizontal space, so the design is broken. Opening same file on the same system in 0.48 renders fine.

Font name is Sans

See attached screenshot: 0.48 on the left (ok) and 0.91 on the right (broken).

Thank you for taking the time to file this report. The underlying issue (Inkscape's default generic font name changed from 'Sans' to 'sans-serif'; on Windows the pango font backend was switched from native to fontconfig) causes Inkscape 0.91 installed on Windows to use different fallback fonts (fallback order is defined via fontconfig setup files) than Inkscape 0.48 (fallback font from native font backend is Arial) for generic font names (e.g. Sans, Serif, sans-serif, serif), and is already tracked in
