font defaults to "Sans" and bold

Ok this is driving me crazy.

There's a problem choosing the default font for the text tool.

Whenever I select a typeface and a style, those values change when I click on the page to insert the text. 'Sans' is the font selected and the style is changed to bold. When I type a letter, the font is changed to Open Sans (I don't know why Open Sans, maybe it's stored somewhere since I remember I've been using it). But, if I set the font size, the value remains the same.

I tried: delete the default templates (I had a custom default template) and delete my inkscape configuration in %appdata%. After I deleted the files in appdata, the defaults started to change again but this time almost randomly. The font size changed from 40 to 10, then to 8, then to 10 again and the style was always changed to NORMAL, but the font sometimes remained the one I selected, and sometimes it changed to 'Sans' again and to 'open sans' when I started typing.
