append glyph breaks formatting

Bug Description
Steps to reproduce:
Press F8 or click the text tool
Click on the canvas
Write the words "broken formatting"
Select the word "formatting"
Change it's color or other property (let's say make it red)
Open Text > Glyphs
Double click on a glyph
Click append
Expected behaviour:
the word "formatting" stays red
Actual behaviour:
the word "formatting" becomes the same color with the word "broken"

Confirmed on Windows XP (32bits), Inkscape 0.48.5, 0.91 and trunk rev. 14005.
Applying a glyph removes all the tspans from the text element and creates a new one (different id) with no style attributes.
