Bug Description

I have a musical font named "Maestro" which comes for a software. This font does no show up in the Inkscape font list while it is visible in other programs. Also, and probably consequently, when importing a PDF which uses this font, the glyphs are not loaded with the font.
I attach the fonts to the bug report.
The system is Windows 8.1.

Reproduced on Windows XP with Inkscape 0.48.5.
Not reproduced with 0.91.

Could you please confirm you're using Inkscape 0.48.5, and could you also test with the latest (0.91) Inkscape version?
Thanks!

My inkscape version were 0.48.4. 64 bits and version 0.91 64 bits still does *not* work.

However, version 0.91 32 bits is OK.

Checking more deeply, it seems that some characters are not properly rendered (a glyph is shown but not the good one).

The file opened is a PDF. I do not think I can upload the file since it is "copyrighted" but I can send it.

However, the preview of the PDF file in the PDF import dialog displays all correctly

this appears to be an example of a font that will not be visible in Inkscape if one enables the switch
#define USE_PANGO_WIN32
and will be visible if one disables this switch.

when you open the pdf file with this font, are you opening it in Inkscape or in Adobe Reader. It is quite possible that Adobe Reader may successfully render this font if it is on your machine, even though Inkscape fails.
